Spending Easter morning at Breckenridge was a great spring activity. We started by waking up at 5:30 AM to head over to Ten Mile Station and attend the Sunrise Service. The near-full moon lit the chair ride up Peak 9. By 6:30 the sun crested over the continental divide and it seemed like we had the whole forest to ourselves.
It was entertaining watching dozens of employees drop 10,000 eggs on Peak 8 and 9 (by the trashbag) in the early morning hours. Rachel and I stuck around and decided to get a few runs in. We grabbed the first chair on Peak 8’s Rocky Mountain Superchair and had all the groomers to ourselves. No lines, groomed snow, and a few solid hours of skiing.
What better way than to spend a Sunday in the mountains?
