Lunch tip at Beaver Creek: Red Tail Camp has better prices

We discovered that a couple of items on the menu (burgers, chili cheese fries) at Red Tail Camp are at least a dollar cheaper than at the Spruce Saddle Lodge. If you’re willing to bear the outdoor elements and the uncertainty of food availability (the fryer can sometimes “freeze”), you can save a buck or two on lunch!

If you haven’t visited before, Red Tail Camp (the valley where Grouse, Birds of Prey, Larkspur converge) has a big outdoor seating area and an outdoor bar under a huge umbrella. It’s a favorite spot for us on warm days because you can sit on the patio under the sun and get wind protection from the glass windows around the bar.
