Q: My fiance and I are looking to get married in Breckenridge - something very small. Do you know anything about how to go about it, where do I start etc.. A: Hi Linda, Congratulations to you and your fiancé! I don't have much experience in the field of wedding planning, but some quick research shows that Breckenridge has two wedding locations available on the mountain. Both are venues with areas for outdoor ceremonies as well as indoor facilities that can accommodate about 200 people. The major catch is that these venues are only available for summer weddings.  The Maggie is open ...

So, the question, have you bought a 2008/2009 season pass yet? If you're still thinking about it here's the scoop as of August 15th (prices and purchase options are subject to change throughout the season.) Colorado Pass Any reader will know this is my favorite pass as it gets you access to awesome mountains for beginners and experts alike. The extra ...

Winter Park is opening tomorrow morning at 9 AM and both Eldora and Echo Mountain will be open this weekend. These three are local favorites for two very different reasons, Winter Park offers the terrain we call Mary Jane. Eldora and Echo are both close and easy. If you’re heading up, let @cosnow know how it goes.

A few quick thoughts on the new Gondola at River Run in Keystone. 1) Moving it closer (away from the slope) is nice. 2) The mid-mountain station is great because beginners always struggle with that last chunk of the hill and can down-load. 3) No ‘gear racks’ attached to the cabins, maybe that’s coming soon but its crowded ride (with 8 people). 4) Overall, the gondola is a great improvement to the resort. Click here for a few pictures of the insane lines on opening day.

Discussion on the new Keystone gondola today prompted an interesting bit of trivia: it costs resorts anywhere from $100,000 to $300,000 to make snow for the super pipes (half-pipes) in Colorado.
