Scout Family Ski Days

Once again, Copper Mountain is hosting Scout Family Ski Days for the Denver Area, where $25/person buys a lift ticket that also includes an on-mountain breakfast and lunch. The caveat is that these tickets are only good for December 11 or December 18 and cannot be used any other day. If you need to rent equipment, Scout Days recommends using one of the five Front Range Breeze locations, which offers base rental packages for $9.99. This is truly one of the most affordable opportunities to get up to the mountains, especially for families and beginners.

Visit the Scout Family Ski Days website to find more information and learn to how to order tickets. It appears that they prefer you use your local scout troop as your method for placing your order. As we’re only one week out, people interested in taking advantage of this deal should probably act quickly.

There were 4,600 participants last year, so this should also serve as a general crowd warning for everyone else. I imagine the mountain will be busiest on the greens and easier runs, but expect an overall level of craziness and congestion that accompanies large group events.

Dev,

How cool is that. They ought to also provide a “merit badge” instruction option. A lot of kids would jump on that if our Troop 476 exerience is any indication. Or, folks like you could offer to provide that free of charge to support the program

Best.
