In case you missed it last week, the underrated Wolf Creek (often receiving the most snow in Colorado by far) was the first resort to open the Colorado season. This comes ahead of the usual “race to open” by Arapahoe Basin and Loveland in Summit County. Worth noting that last season Wolf Creek wasn’t able to open until November.
Roughly 1,500 skiers and snowboarders made the trip for opening day with three lifts open and a snow depth of 35 inches at the summit. They’ll re-open this weekend (October 15th and 16th).
Kudos to Wolf Creek.
