We have two well-known “early bloomer” areas already open for over a week now here in Colorado: Arapahoe Basin and Loveland.
This weekend is especially exciting as, I would argue, it truly kicks off the season for more even more resorts and gets folks in the mood with the Expo in town. Here’s a quick round-up:
Friday, November 2
- Copper Mountain opens: the American Eagle chairlift starts turning at 9 AM
- Keystone opens: snag hot chocolate, donuts, listen to music, and win some prizes
- Wolf creek may open: depending on moisture, they may not have enough snow
Saturday, November 3
- PowderWhore will be in Denver to show their latest film, nothing gets me more excited than sweet clips set to great music
Colorado Ski and Snowboard Expo (Friday, November 2 through Sunday, November 4)
The season kicks off this weekend with great deals, booths, and beer at the Colorado Convention Center downtown. Colorado Ski & Golf will be in attendance with its huge pre-season selection at big discounts.
