Taste Test: Promax Crunch energy bars

Promax was kind enough send us a couple of their new Promax Crunch energy bars to help fuel up for the season. I tried both flavors: chocolate and peanut cherry and I’d say the peanut cherry tastes the best. The chocolate has a hint of coconut but was a bit bland and was just like what you’d think a protein bar would taste like.

With 18 grams of protein I would certainly grab one of these for an afternoon on the slopes. I had one as a mid-morning snack (with no breakfast) and it easily kept me full through lunch. Plus, these bars are gluten free, vegetarian, kosher, and contain no artificial sweeteners or flavors.

The nutrition value alone makes these easy to recommend but the taste wasn’t great. If I had to, I’d rate these 3 out of 5 snowflakes.
