Crested Butte adds tree terrain at East River lift and Painter Boy

CBMRTrailMap10-1162

Crested Butte will be thinning trees in the East River lift area to widen tree runs for those who enjoy the glades. Look for trees to removed between Double Top and Black Eagle.

For the kiddos, crews will be cutting three new trails in the Painter Boy area. These trails will be about the width of a grooming machine and wind through the trees to give kids a “forest-like” experience. The resort will be building facades to create an “Elk Avenue” along one of the trails for kids to ski through and play around. There will also be a ski-through bear cave, US Forest Service Lodge, and a gold mining building for interactive play and learning.
