Having talked to a lot of recent graduates its amazing the number of students that retreat to the mountains after college. Instead of getting a “real” job a lot of people decide the culture, snow, and life experience is better in the mountains. I don’t blame them. If you’re looking for a job in the […]

My name is Devin Reams and I founded this site to provide a useful news and review resource for Colorado skiers and snowboarders (and mountain enthusiasts).
I've been skiing since I was a little kid (we moved out here when I was five years old) and I plan to ski for years beyond that. Although cosnow is not my full-time job it is my full-time winter hobby. I've been an "Epic Local" passholder since 2006 (when it was called a "Colorado Pass" or "Five Mountain Pass"). My favorite resorts are Beaver Creek and Breckenridge.
Winter Park is opening tomorrow morning at 9 AM and both Eldora and Echo Mountain will be open this weekend. These three are local favorites for two very different reasons, Winter Park offers the terrain we call Mary Jane. Eldora and Echo are both close and easy. If you’re heading up, let @cosnow know how […]

Discussion on the new Keystone gondola today prompted an interesting bit of trivia: it costs resorts anywhere from $100,000 to $300,000 to make snow for the super pipes (half-pipes) in Colorado.
If you haven’t gone up yet this season you’re about to run out of excuses. Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone all open tomorrow: Friday, November 7, 2008. See you up there!
The Colorado Pass will be on sale this weekend and if you pick it up at the Ski & Snowboard Expo you’ll get two bonus buddy passes (buy two tickets for $50 each).
Copper has decided that with all the snow falling (last night saw at least 8 inches!) they’re going to open a full week earlier. Copper will now open up on November 7th, only two Fridays away. For anyone worried about early season snow this year, fear not! Psst, get updates like this by following CoSnow […]

Here’s a quick peek at some of the highlights on the slopes: Arapahoe Basin 300 new parking spots added Tunnel under Hwy 6 to connect parking and the slopes, safely Buses to bring people down from the upper lots Black Mountain lodge […]
