The Vimeo Video School has put together an excellent guide on shooting winter action sports (skiing, snowboarding) and takes their own lessons learned from shooting the Winter X-Games in Aspen. The guide is top-notch and broken into some great sections: preparation, positioning, gear, movement, communication.
