Even though winter has come and gone, here’s a nice video from A Bullseye View. They did a helicopter video shoot with Torin Yater-Wallace (youngest Winter X Games medalist ever) doing some crazy tricks on the same halfpipe where he won the Ski SuperPipe bronze this year. Check it out…
Speaking of Vimeo, they put together a great 5-minute video recapping the Winter X Games Experience from last month. Check it out!
The Vimeo Video School has put together an excellent guide on shooting winter action sports (skiing, snowboarding) and takes their own lessons learned from shooting the Winter X-Games in Aspen. The guide is top-notch and broken into some great sections: preparation, positioning, gear, movement, communication.
IF you haven’t seen it yet (it’s everywhere!) check out this beautiful video of Jacob Sutton’s LED surfer (snowboarder). Slow motion, white boarder on black background. It’s surreal.
I’m guessing that wasn’t supposed to turn out quite like that…
“Pizza. French Fries.”
Check out Scott’s moves in “Defenders of Awesome”. I’ve never seen so many tricks where one foot isn’t strapped in..
Here’s an awesome video found over at kottke: This is like street skating except with alpine skis down hilly city terrain. Includes jumps over hung laundry & parked cars, railslides down stairs, etc. Crazy. Great song choice, too!
