Vail’s opening day: dedication of the “One” gondola

If you haven’t seen Vail’s blog, they’ve done a great job posting photos and videos from the new “One” gondola construction throughout the summer and fall. If you weren’t aware: Vail built a new gondola to replace the Vista Bahn Express Lift (#16) in Vail Village for their 50th anniversary (treat yourself, right?). It has 10-person cabins with heated seats and wifi. Plus, they state it’s the “fastest single-cable, 10-passenger gondola (or gondola of its type) in the world”. We’ll be up there to check it out soon enough!
