Arapahoe Basin readies snow guns for testing

Here’s an attractive photo of snowmaking fan guns “ready to go” and prepped for testing in the coming weeks.

Arapahoe Basin’s COO, Al Wenceroth, has posted the photo to his excellent blog noting “We will fire up the system as soon as conditions are favorable usually sometime between mid-September and early October. There is is still a lot of summer to enjoy, but we are getting ready.”

While not as exciting as new, fresh powder, it’s a sign that we’re only about a month or two (depending on your mountain of choice) away from opening day!
