After an awesome day exploring Peak 6 and skiing off the Kensho SuperChair we decided to check out Peak 7 and 8. Luckily we were greeted with snow flurries mid-day and after a few runs it was coming down hard. We had an inch or two underfoot in no time and enjoyed the soft, fluffy […]

My name is Devin Reams and I founded this site to provide a useful news and review resource for Colorado skiers and snowboarders (and mountain enthusiasts).
I've been skiing since I was a little kid (we moved out here when I was five years old) and I plan to ski for years beyond that. Although cosnow is not my full-time job it is my full-time winter hobby. I've been an "Epic Local" passholder since 2006 (when it was called a "Colorado Pass" or "Five Mountain Pass"). My favorite resorts are Beaver Creek and Breckenridge.
Even though Peak 6 is not new to Breck, it was new to us. We haven’t had a chance to visit and check it out ourselves until now. And we had a great time. We started a late, sunny, blue-bird morning heading up the gondola from Main Street and jumped off at Peak 7. From […]
We had another great mid-December day at Beaver Creek. Yesterday was cloudy and snowy. Today was clear with blue skies and sunshine. What a great weekend! We spent most of the day over at Bachelor Gulch and had a great time on the freshly groomed new snow. We even found a few piles of powder […]
Today was our first day skiing back in Colorado in two seasons! We weren’t around last year and were very anxious to get back to Colorado snow. Today did not disappoint. The forecasters at Open Snow were expecting at least a few inches all over the state. Beaver Creek had 2″ and we had a […]

But, it’s worth getting excited today for a few reasons: With a few resorts already open, locals can take advantage of the powder day not just today but probably even up to the weekend. Many additional resorts plan to be […]
If you haven’t noticed already, after two summers of construction we have a new, third lane available on I-70 eastbound from Empire to Floyd Hill. Starting in late 2015, just in time for the winter season to get into full swing, any vehicles using the new lane (with an ExpressToll account and pass) will have […]
Hopefully you’ve already pulled your ski and snowboard gear out of a long summer hibernation. It’s now time to start thinking about tuning up your gear and getting ready for the season. As with tools and instruments, taking good preventative care of your ski and snowboard gear may help prolong your time enjoying it. Read […]
Wearable ski tech: 3 things to bring
With smartphones all over the mountain, here are three things you should bring to help make your day on the mountain a bit better. Touchscreen gloves, a waterproof case, and a battery pack are must-haves. As technology gets smaller and lighter, look to smartphone-enabled goggles, video cameras and more. Learn more about my recommendations at […]
